Preventing Students from Falling in the Cracks: Flexibility Needed to Reach Diverse Learners

Mental health exists on a continuum. How can we reach those students with mental health concerns that exist at the sub-threshold level; who do not believe they deserve help; or who do not want to identify themselves to the university as having a disability in order to receive accommodations? This poster will consider ways to build options into courses so diverse students can be reached and assessed sustainably while minimizing stigma. The goal is to start a conversation that can be continued in the associated online discussion board.
