For those attending the Conference in person, IUT offers two educational tours.
Full Day Tour
Pre-Conference Full-Day Tour

All-Day Stratford-on-Avon Tour
Our bus tour with a live guide will head first for Stratford-on-Avon, where we will visit Shakespeare’s birthplace and Anne Hathaway’s cottage and take a peek inside the Royal Shakespeare Theater, then visit the Holy Trinity Church to see Shakespeare’s resting place. We will then take a forty-minute drive south to the beautiful Cotswold Hills, home to picturesque towns such as Stow-on-the-Wold, Bibury, and Castle Combe, whose stone houses and thatched roofs have changed little since medieval times. A sit-down lunch and shopping time in Stow and a chance to explore other towns on foot are included. The tour will conclude with high tea before our return to London.

Half-Day Afternoon Tour

Afternoon Greenwich Boat Tour
We will proceed by river boat from Westminster Pier down the Thames at a leisurely pace, past iconic London landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge, and the Tate Modern to nearby Greenwich, home to the Royal Greenwich Observatory. Founded by King Charles II and operating continuously since 1676 the Observatory is also the site of the Prime Meridian. While in Greenwich we will also visit the Cutty Sark, a clipper ship built in 1869 and now drydocked near the Thames and the Old Royal Naval College and its famous Painted Hall. The tour will end with late afternoon refreshments on the river.
