Poster 3:
Today’s Students are Tomorrow’s Teachers—A Cultural Change in Teaching
Katharina Thülen and Silke Bock (Technical University of Middle Hessia)
Establishing sustainable assessment in teaching requires “staying power”. It requires a change of culture in teaching on the part of teachers and students. The aim should be to work together cooperatively and collaboratively on learning and teaching. This cultural change is addressed by the implementation of a study program for higher education didactics. This is supported by various freely established and curricularly anchored components, which are closely interlinked throughout the entire study program. The poster will name the different components of sustainable assessment and illustrate the program structure in which they are embedded. This will provide an insight into the learning environment aiming at the desired cultural change with regard to the teaching and learning processes for both, students and teachers, because today’s students are tomorrow’s teachers.
