All-Day Melaka Tour
Our tour with an English-speaking guide will take us by air-conditioned bus south from Putrajaya to Melaka (Malacca), a UNESCO World Heritage site. Five hundred years ago Melaka was a bustling port made rich by the spice trade. Cloves, cinnamon, mace, and other rare Asian spices were sent from here to be served on the tables of Europe. Melaka passed from Portuguese to Dutch to British ownership, and attracted a polyglot population whose different cultures inspired the city’s varied architecture. During our day in Melaka, we will visit many attractions, including Dutch Square, St. Paul’s Hill and Church, the ruins of the Portuguese Fortress, and the Melaka Sultanate Palace Museum. After lunch, we will take an afternoon Melaka River Cruise, enjoy dinner at an outdoor café, and return to Putrajaya by 10:00 p.m.

Putrajaya Night Cruise
Given the Malaysian climate, evening is the best time to explore Putrajaya, and a boat cruise is even more refreshing. Our night cruise will take us around Putrajaya Lake, an immense (650 hectare/1,600 acre) man-made body of water, whose buildings are illuminated at night. We will see the massive, rose-colored Putra Mosque, the Prime Minister’s official residence, the contemporary Iron Mosque, other modern buildings and seven spectacular bridges from the comfort of the tour boat. Once we return to the dock, the tour will conclude with dinner under the stars.
