Reflective Learning Logs as an Assignment Tool for Students

This poster examines the use of reflective learning logs as an assessment in an Honours-level course to support students reflecting on their learning. Students analyse what supports or hinders their learning, how their approaches change over time, and how positionality shapes engagement with course content and peers. The logs help make academic expectations clearer, encourage students to think critically about how they learn, and reflect on how their positionality shapes their learning experiences. Reflective learning logs are intended to foster self-awareness, adaptability, and emerging scholarly identity, while supporting responsive teaching and inclusive learning cultures.
