Leveraging Scholar Transformation Theory to Engage Doctoral Students in Becoming Scholars

This poster explains how doctoral students are supported in working through the initial stages of Scholar Transformation Theory (Welsh et al., 2020) in a course called Grounding Research in Literature. Each of the stages of the theory will be presented alongside the active learning strategies students complete to master them in developing the literature review chapter of their dissertation. The collaborative learning process that serves to support the students in becoming a community of scholars will be emphasized. Student feedback and insights into the process will be shared, as well as challenges that were overcome.
