The ABDN Internships: Fostering Belonging and Future Prospects through Work Experience

The ABDN internships are a highly successful programme of work experience available exclusively to University of Aberdeen students. Student engagement has been fantastic with almost 5,000 applications in the last two years and data by academic Schools and other characteristics will be presented. This poster will also explore the internship journey and the support and learning opportunities for students throughout the process. Case studies and feedback from students and host employers, will also highlight how the programme builds and strengthens relationships with the local community and allows students to explore how their skills and knowledge matter beyond the classroom.
